Adriano Olivetti – His Ivrea and Surroundings

Day 1: IVREA

Arrival in Ivrea and meeting with the guide. Visit of the city to explore its history, traditions, curiosities, but above all the inseparable connection with its most illustrious figure: Adriano Olivetti.

Thanks to Adriano, Ivrea became a great creative laboratory, especially in urban planning and architecture. The tour includes some of the most significant Olivetti buildings, with stories related to the “Olivettian model” and the great legacy he left to the world of information technology.

Delightful stop at the historic Balla pastry shop to taste the famous Torta ‘900.

Transfer to the hotel, located by Lake Viverone (subject to availability), dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 2: AGLIÈ CASTLE AND WINERY

Breakfast at the hotel. Guided visit to the Agliè Castle, located in the homonymous municipality, which is part of the Savoy Residences. The castle, with its beautiful architecture, original furnishings, numerous paintings, frescoes, archaeological finds, and splendid gardens full of centuries-old trees and greenhouses, reflects over 7 centuries of Italian and European history.

A small curiosity: Agliè Castle, due to its romantic charm and timeless beauty, has been chosen as the set for several TV series, such as Elisa di Rivombrosa, Beauty and the Beast, and Maria José.

Visit of the nearby Church of Santa Marta and tasting of the famous butter “torcetti”!

Continuation to a local winery, as the Canavese area is known for its important wines, such as Erbaluce, Caluso Passito, and Carema. Lunch at a restaurant or tasting menu at the winery.
